Today is birthday of Jochan Sebastian Bach. It is sunny day (getting clody) and I am ready to dance through and with my sensation of Bach to understand the principles of dance and let them fool around to obtain the vivid dance. Will it be baroque? Join me. Somewhere. Not over the rainbow. Right now. Right here.
It is perfect day to dance-reflect the fact that Shostakovich was actually inspired by Bach’ Well Tempered Clavier performed by Tatjana Nikolajeva at the first International Johann Sebastian Bach Competition in Leipzig in 1950, a music festival marking the bicentennial of J. S. Bach’s death.
Shostakovich set home to write the 24 Preludes and Fugues in approximately4 months.
Probably it would be nice to set oneself close to the brook (Bach) and dance-meditate.
